The Sootee was born from listening. After nearly eight years building Narangii, we learned what truly matters — breathable fabrics, easy silhouettes, and clothing that feels personal. The Sootee is an extension of those learnings, shaped by friendship and intention. Founded by Kushal and Saket, we design thoughtfully crafted clothing made in small batches with artisans across India. We don’t chase trends — we create pieces meant to last, feel good, and return gently to the earth. Crafted in quiet. Worn with ease. We’re Kushal and Saket, longtime collaborators from two different worlds. One of us comes from learning and storytelling, the other from systems and technology. We are not formally trained designers — and perhaps that’s our strength. What we bring instead is a shared sensibility, a deep respect for craft, and a steady commitment to building things with care. At our core, we believe clothing can carry meaning — not urgency. The Sootee is our way of slowing fashion down. Of choosing intention over excess.
