At The Sootee, we pour our hearts into creating handmade, ethically crafted clothing rooted in Indian traditions. Each piece is made with love, and we genuinely hope it brings joy to your wardrobe. But if something isn’t quite right, we’re here to make it right.
General Guidelines
This policy applies to all purchases made directly through our website. Orders placed via third-party platforms or stockists will follow their respective policies.
Unboxing Requirement
If your order arrives damaged or if there’s been a mix-up, we’ll sort it out! Just make sure to record a clear, uninterrupted unboxing video while opening your parcel. This helps us process your request smoothly and fairly.
Return & Exchange Window
We understand that sometimes things don’t work out.
- Please let us know within 7 days of delivery if you’d like to request a return or exchange.
- Once approved, the item must reach us within the next 7 days.
- We offer reverse pick-up where available. If your area isn’t serviceable, you can courier it back to us.
Note: Reverse pick-up will be attempted twice. If it doesn’t go through, the return shipping will be your responsibility.
Refunds & Store Credit
While we don’t offer cash refunds, we’ll issue you a store credit in the form of a coupon code:
- Valid for 12 months from the date it’s issued
- Issued within 5 working days after we receive and inspect the item
- Rs. 150 will be deducted to cover return shipping
- Please note: store credit must be used in one go; partial usage isn’t possible
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for a return or exchange:
- The item should be unused, unwashed, and in its original packaging with all tags intact
- We can’t accept products that are used, damaged, or missing tags
- Items once exchanged or returned cannot be exchanged again
- Exchanges depend on stock availability and confirmation from our team
- If the size or style you want isn’t available, your store credit can be used on any future purchase
- Sale or discounted items are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund
Cancellations
- Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of placing them
- Custom or made-to-order pieces are non-cancellable and non-returnable
- For orders with 5 or more items, we do not accept returns or refunds, as they are considered bulk orders

Please note: We’re not responsible for any damages during return transit.
A Few Final Notes
- Returns sent without prior communication or without following the proper steps may not be accepted
- If reverse pick-up isn’t available or fails, the customer will need to ship the item at their own cost
